We have the perfect opportunity!The Library Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality library services. This position involves assisting customers with their inquiries, managing library resources, and contributing to the overall functionality of library operations. Key AccountabilitiesMaintain quality library services including issuing and returning of loans, shelving and tidying of material, holds system, customer queries and membershipUtilise library resources and technologies to engage and assist customers in the use of technology.Perform a variety of administrative and associated tasks to support the library service.Provide friendly and professional assistance to library patrons, responding to enquiries in person, by phone, and via email.Assist customers with locating resources, using library catalogues, and accessing digital and print materials.For a full list of the Key Accountabilities of the role, please refer to the Position Description.About You: The successful candidate will possess: Demonstrated experience in a customer service role, preferably within a library or similar environment. Understanding of the role and functions of public libraries in the community, including resources, programs, and community engagement.Interest in the provision of library services to children, young adults and adults.Previous experience with administrative, database or record management tasks.
